Kangen Band was formed in Lampung in 2005 by Dodhy, Andika, Tama, Lim, Nory, and Barry. Their debut album is About Me, You, And Him (2007). One of the songs in this album, About Stars and Cheating became a popular hit in the community. In addition, the Kangen Band also made it into the Tervaforit Band Group at the 2007 SCTV Award. In the same year, they starred in a soap opera titled Aku Indeed Kampungan, which tells the story of their career. [1]

In 2008, the Kangen Band released two albums at once: The Perfect - which is a repackage of the debut album - and the Star of 14 Days. [1] Bintang 14 Hari presents different musical colors by displaying Malay elements and exploring Javanese elements. On this album, Kangen hooked arranger Andi Bayau with Eren's backing vocals. In July 2012, Andika resigned from the Kangen Band, because he did not want to pay a fine of Rp1 billion to Warner Music in connection with his solo career outside the Warner Music label. [4]

After Andhika left, Kangen Band finally sought a new vocalist to replace Andhika. After auditioning with as many as 5000 participants, Kangen Band finally got a new vocalist named Reyhan. [5] After quite a long time not releasing new works, Kangen Band finally returned with the song "Bint his father". The video clip of the song was uploaded to the GP Recordspace YouTube account on Tuesday (9/10).
