KartPad

Developed by chrissotraidis, KartPad focuses on bringing native Vulkan performance and touch-friendly racing controls to supported Android devices. Users looking to download KartPad should know that the app contains no game code or console keys. It works with game data built separately from an eligible, personally owned disc image. Its main capabilities are outlined below.

• Runs supported Mario Kart Wii data through native static recompilation on Android.

• Uses Vulkan rendering for compatible ARM64 phones and tablets.

• Offers touch controls, motion steering, and external controller support.

• Includes a game chooser and tools for managing imported game data.

• Supports optional Retro Rewind content when prepared with compatible data.

Native racing controls and prepared game data

KartPad is built around native controls rather than traditional emulation menus, so races can be played with on-screen inputs, motion steering, or a paired controller. This makes quick cups on a phone feel more practical when a controller is unavailable, while longer sessions benefit from physical inputs. The release does not include playable game files, and compatible data must be created on a computer with PadForge from a personally owned PAL RMCP01 revision 0 disc image. Android devices need ARM64 hardware, Vulkan support, and Android 9 or newer.

Download KartPad on Android

The current KartPad APK can be downloaded from APKPure, and a file of this size usually finishes within a few minutes on a stable connection. Android may show a standard confirmation prompt before installation, depending on the device’s security settings. Checking available storage first is important because prepared game data requires substantially more space than the app download.

For the KartPad latest version, install the release before transferring any prepared data to the device. Keep the original disc image and game files private, as the app is intended for data created from an eligible disc you own.
