If we look at this era from the perspective of religion and schools of thought, especially in relation to young people, we find that this era is a period of shock, doubt and change. This era has thrown a series of problems and doubts into the field of study, and revived a number of classical problems that had been forgotten in new forms and made them the axis of various debates.

However, should we face all these doubts and questions that sometimes reach extreme levels with feelings of despair, shortness of breath and pessimism?

No. I do not believe that all these doubts should distress us. Because, doubt is an intermediary to belief, questions are an intermediary to the (correct) conclusion, and anxiety is an intermediary to peace. Doubt is a beautiful bridge, even though it is also a bad place to live.

By encouraging contemplation and gaining intense faith, Islam truly understands that the human condition at the beginning is one of doubt and hesitation. With clear thinking, we can achieve confidence and peace.

One thinker said, "The benefit of our current discussion is only to bring you to belief and doubt so that you can continue your own discussion and research towards belief." True, in doubt, there is no certainty and calm. But it is also true that any other kind of steadfastness and calmness is not superior to this kind of "irresoluteness" and "restlessness."

So, there are two kinds of determination, namely determination that is lower than doubt and determination that is higher than doubt.

When we say that animals enjoy serenity, that serenity is a serenity that is lower than doubt, besides that it never reaches certainty. Meanwhile, believers who have reached the level of belief also feel determination. It's just that the determination felt by believers who are certain is the second type of decision, namely a decision that is higher than doubt. They have gone beyond the stage of doubt and reached the stage of belief.
