Mission

Kehrichtbeseitigung Laufental-Schwarzbubenland AG (KELSAG), a waste management company, organizes the collection, transport, and disposal of municipal waste from more than 50,000 residents on behalf of its 33 shareholder municipalities in the districts of Laufental (BL), Dorneck (SO), Thierstein (SO), and parts of the Canton of Jura. In line with the principles of a circular economy, the company strives for the highest possible recycling rate.

KELSAG also ensures the proper aftercare of the "Hinterm Chestel" nuclear waste repository in Liesberg.

KELSAG is the primary contact for waste management for its shareholder municipalities and for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
