many heretical teachings in this world that lead to falling out of Islam or in other words is shirk. There are some interpretations or practices in heresy that have no religious basis.

This includes

(a) addition of practice without any solid foundation,

(b) change religious law, such as practicing 'nikah batin' or believing that prayer is considered perfect by only intending to pray, without actually performing the worship of the prayer.

c) Removing and/or replacing obligatory religious practices such as prayer, fasting, pilgrimage, and other practices without a valid reason (such as relief for the sick), is a sign of deviation.
