The book Ghoyatul Wushul was written by Shaykh Islam Abu Yahya Zakariya al-Ansari w. 926 H. This book is a book of sharahan (explanation) of the book Lubb al-Ushul which was also compiled by the same convert. The book Lubb al-Ushul itself is an summary (summary) of the book Jam'ul Jawami', the magnum opus of Imam Taj ad-Din as-Subki w. 771 AH.

Before shaking hands with the book Ghoyatul Wushul, it's a good idea to know one or two interesting facts about the basic book, namely Jam'ul Jawami'. Interestingly, it wasn't just the book Ghayatul Wushul that Imam Zakariya al-Ansari had to step in personally to teach it. In fact, the book Lubb al-Ushul is a combination of two ushul; Ushul Din and Ushul Fiqh. This confirms that the science of Ushul Fiqh has strong and intense ties with the science of Ushul Din. For example, the Hasan-Qubh discussion. Meanwhile, Imam Zakariya al-Ansari's sharahan style in the book Ghoyatul Wushul (Lubb al-Ushul actually) is to replace difficult redactions in the basic book with easy ones, weak opinions become final opinions, complete with several sophisticated additions.

The book Ghoyatul Wushul can be divided into three sections of discussion; First, al-Muqaddimat. Contains issues that must be understood first, so that it is possible and easy to understand the true contents of Ushul Fiqh. Among them, discussion of khitab, taklif mulja'. In total, there are 11 problems contained in al-Muqaddimat; Second, the Bible. Basically there are seven al-Kitabs (big titles) in this second part, and that is where the heart of the discussion on the science of Ushul Fiqh. Its contents include the Koran, sunnah, ijmak, qiyas, istidlal, ta'adul and tarajuh, and ijtihad; Third, it is a closing which contains the basic concepts of Sufism. One piece of this book enhances the other pieces.
