The Cancer Agency is an app for young people in a cancer course.

Here you can join a community with others in the same situation as you and you can continuously track and get an overview of your illness. There is also a knowledge section that is told based on young people's experiences

FOR YOUNGS WITH CANCER

The app has been developed in collaboration with young people in a cancer course in order to give you and other young people in Denmark a place where you can get support from others in the same situation. You create in the app with flyer code, which you get from your treating doctor, nurse, or from Young Cancer.

MEET OTHERS IN YOUR SITUATION

With the app you can join the closed community where only young people in a cancer course can meet and share knowledge and experiences on topics such as economics, study and work life, physical and mental challenges and much more. You can choose to have an anonymous profile - for some, anonymity can make it safer to ask or answer personal questions.

TRACK AND GET OVERVIEW OF YOUR HEALTH

The app also includes a tracking section where you can record and monitor the development of your individual symptoms and activities related to your disease course. The app comes with a number of initial settings developed in collaboration with young people in a cancer course. You can also add your own categories to tailor the opportunities to your specific challenges and youth.

COME IN THE DEVELOPMENT GRAPHIC

On the graph module you can see trends based on your personal tracking. For example, if there is fluctuations in your sleep pattern or energy level, you can bring this up with your doctor or others. You can also share a picture of your graph via email, social media or MMS.

KNOWLEDGE BASE ON CANCER, FROM YOUNG TO YOUNG

Here you can find information about the disease and life with the disease on video and text. The topics are selected and disseminated by young people who have been in a cancer course themselves. These may be topics such as SU, appearance, studies or city tours. There are also interviews of young people sharing their knowledge and history.

PART OF RESEARCH

The Cancer Agency has been developed in collaboration with the joint meeting place of the same name for young people with cancer at Rigshospitalet. The app is part of a research project aimed at increasing the quality of life for young people in a cancer course. The research project is led by professor and consultant in oncology Helle Pappot.
