About Local ADB Shell: No PC
An adb shell terminal on your phone: run commands with no computer, no root.
Local ADB Shell is a full adb terminal that runs on your Android phone and points at that same phone. No computer, no USB cable, no root — just Wireless debugging.
Android Debug Bridge (adb) has always meant plugging into a laptop. It does not have to. Turn on Wireless debugging, pair the phone with itself once, and every adb shell command you would normally type from a desktop, you type on the device itself.
IT ONLY EVER TALKS TO YOUR OWN PHONE
The connection is a loopback connection to 127.0.0.1 — the device you are holding. There is no remote control, no second device, and no server of ours in the middle. Nothing you type and nothing a command prints ever leaves your phone.
COMMANDS YOU ALREADY KNOW
Run logcat to read the log, dumpsys battery or dumpsys meminfo to inspect the system, pm list packages to see what is installed, getprop to read build properties, am start to launch an activity, input tap to drive the screen. If it works in an adb shell, it works here.
WHAT YOU GET
A real terminal
Run any adb shell command and read the output right there. Sessions keep their history and their name, so you can scroll back to what you ran last week.
60 commands, ready to run
A built-in catalogue sorted into Apps, Screen and input, System, Diagnostics and Files. Tap one and it runs — no memorising flags.
Your own commands, under your own names
Save any adb command to favourites and call it whatever makes sense to you.
It warns you before it hurts
Commands that wipe app data or force-stop packages ask first, and say exactly what they are about to do and why it matters.
Every folder the shell can see
Walk the filesystem and pick a path instead of typing it.
Widgets on your home screen
Battery, storage, device info and a torch toggle — or build your own from battery, storage, memory, network, device and screen readings. They read the system directly, so they need no setup and no connection.
Thirty-four languages
Pick one inside the app. Your phone's language stays exactly as it is.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Enable Developer options, then Wireless debugging.
2. Tap "Pair device with pairing code" and type the six digits into Local ADB Shell.
3. Start running commands.
The pairing is between your phone and itself. Nothing else is involved, and you can revoke it from Android settings whenever you want. No root, no unlocked bootloader, no computer at any point.
FREE AND PRO
Free gives you the terminal, the full command catalogue, a handful of favourites and one console tab.
Pro is a single payment — not a subscription, and it never expires. It adds unlimited favourites, as many console tabs as you want, backup and restore of your chats and favourites, the device file browser, and your own widgets on the home screen.
PRIVACY
No ads. No analytics. No crash reporting. No accounts, ever. Your chats, command history and favourites live in the app's private storage and nowhere else. Read the full policy at https://virekainteractive.com/privacy-policies/local-adb-shell/
