No Storage Permission Required: We do not request full access to your internal storage (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE). Instead, we use the system's native file picker, allowing you to select only the specific files you wish to import.

Where is my data stored?

All photos, videos, notes, and contacts are stored locally within the application's private storage (IndexedDB/Internal Sandbox) on your deviceThey are isolated from other apps.

⚠️ Important Data Safety Warning:

Because your data is not backed up to the cloud:

Uninstalling the App: If you uninstall Lockulator, ALL hidden files inside it will be PERMANENTLY DELETED and cannot be recovered.

Clearing App Data: If you go to your phone settings and "Clear Data" for Lockulator, your vault contents will be erased.

Lost PIN: Your PIN is stored locally. If you forget it, we cannot reset it for you, as we do not have access to your device.

Sharing & Exporting Files

We provide a "Share" feature that utilizes your device's native sharing capabilities

When you choose to share a file from the vault to another app (e.g., WhatsApp, Email), the file is decrypted and sent directly from your device to the target app.

Lockulator does not intercept or monitor this transfer.
