  • Share an image to LongShot to hide personal data in the editor. Done saves a copy to your gallery; the original is untouched.
  • Hide personal data now hides a card number on the same line as its expiry date or CVV, and an IBAN even if one character is misread. The expiry date, and times or amounts just after an IBAN, stay readable.
  • First setup: the "Grant permission to start" button now looks active, and the steps also name the permission as Samsung does, "Appear on top".

  What's new in the version 1.5

  • Copy text and Hide personal data now work on long captures. They used to give up and report that the image could not be read.
  • Text is read at full resolution however long the capture is, so small print survives.
  • Copied text follows reading order now — side-by-side columns no longer interleave, and lines at tile joins are no longer pasted twice.
  • The text tools read Latin script only. Arabic is not recognised, and the app now says so where it matters.
