Macrolog

Macrolog allows you to keep track of your food intake. The aim is to track macronutrient intake fast and easy, because we know you want to spend as little time as possible tediously adding log entries.

The app contains a diary page on which you find an overview of the food you ate on a particular day. You can see how the totals of the macronutrients(Protein, Fat and Carbohydrates) and derived calories measure up to your intake goal. Adding an entry simple since the app allows you to define frequently used portions.

Unlike most food tracking apps that focus on calorie intake, Macrolog focusses on macronutrients more. Also, you fill your own personal database with food that you eat frequently. The upside of this is that your search results are never cluttered with dozens of brand products that you never eat, or other people's entries that might have been added incorrectly. You are entirely in control. The downside is that this makes you responsible for manually adding food and, when you start using the app, it will take a little time to fill the food database.

Your food is shown on the food page and is easily sortable and searchable. For example, if you're wondering what food you should eat to meet your protein goal, you can just sort the food based on the amount or percentage of protein it has. This is also the page to edit food in case you made a mistake or to add an extra portion to an existing food entry.

But besides keeping track of what you eat, you can also keep track of how you have used your energy: there is an option to add activities (with calories used) and the option to automatically synchronize with Strava.

Lastly there is a user page where you can edit your personal details, define new goals and track your weight. Managing your account is also done here. There's always the option to delete your entire account, no data will be kept. We will only use your email for password retrieval and a welcome message.
