The new revision from 2005 changed some proper names, such as Nabucadnosor and Esdras, to Nebucadnezar and Ezra, semi-anglicized and more recognizable, respectively. Likewise, the new revision has its footnotes added and had also interleaved the deuterocanonical books in their Catholic versions.

The aim of the new revision of 2005 is to modernize the use of vocabulary, replacing the classic words of Tagalog. Similarly, some words found in the 1980 edition.
