About Magic Endoscope
USB & Wi-Fi endoscope viewer: live HUD, measurement, no subscription.
Magic Endoscope turns the USB or Wi-Fi inspection camera you already own into a proper diagnostic tool. Live preview with a real telemetry HUD, on-screen annotation, and captures you can put in a report.
Built for people who inspect things for a living: plumbers, HVAC and refrigeration techs, mechanics, electricians, building and QA inspectors.
WORKS WITH THE PROBE YOU ALREADY HAVE
• USB / OTG — any standard UVC endoscope or borescope
• Wi-Fi — any probe streaming standard MJPEG, including APPOTECH AX3268 and Inskam YPC99 based units
• Your phone's own camera — no probe required, so you can try the app before you buy hardware
• No drivers, no vendor app, no proprietary hardware to buy
If your probe presents a standard video stream, it will almost certainly work — UVC, MJPEG and RTSP are all handled natively. Engineering inside, magic in effect. If yours does not connect, tell us — device coverage grows with every update.
LIVE PREVIEW WITH A REAL HUD
• Battery, frame rate, resolution and bitrate read straight off the stream
• Grid overlay and digital area zoom
• High-contrast mode for working outdoors in daylight
• Portrait and landscape — tablets get a dedicated tools rail
ON-SCREEN RULERS
Drop two handles on the frame to draw a ruler, set its scale by hand, and save it for repeat jobs. Switch between cm and inches, and burn the ruler into a capture so the annotation travels with the photo.
To be straight about what this is: the ruler is an annotation you scale yourself, not an optical measurement. The app has no way to know how far away the probe tip is, so it does not work out the size of an object on its own. Use it to mark and compare features within a frame. Calibrated measurement is on the roadmap and is not in this release.
CAPTURE THAT HOLDS UP AS EVIDENCE
• Photo and video, with timestamp, location and ruler annotations burned into the frame
• Date-grouped gallery with full metadata per file: resolution, size, duration, MIME type
• Multi-select and undo delete
• Save to internal storage, SD card, OTG drive, or any folder you choose
• Export through your phone's normal Share sheet
OFFLINE-FIRST. NO ACCOUNT.
There is no sign-up and no cloud. We operate no server your footage could reach, so captures stay on your device unless you send them somewhere yourself. The app shows no ads and integrates no analytics or attribution SDK.
FREE AND PRO
Free — full live preview, HUD and rulers. 5 photos and 5 clips per day, a 3-minute clip cap, and a watermark on saved media.
Pro — $4.99, one time. Every limit lifted and the watermark gone, on that device, for good. No subscription and no per-seat licensing: a shop that buys ten probes and one tablet pays once.
BEFORE YOU INSTALL
• Android 10 or newer.
• Cable-connected probes need a device that supports USB OTG. Wi-Fi probes work on any supported device.
• Video is recorded without audio. The app never asks for microphone permission.
• Camera permission is required — Android treats a USB endoscope as a camera, so the app cannot open your probe without it. The same permission also covers the optional phone-camera mode, which stays off unless you pick it yourself. The front camera is never used.
• Location stamping is optional and off by default. Read the warning on that setting before switching it on: the stamp is written permanently into the picture and cannot be removed afterwards.
• Android only for now. There is no iOS version.
