About MailNotes

store your notes on the server of your favourite trusted E-Mail provider

MailNotes is an application to store your notes on the server of your favourite trusted E-Mail provider.

In difference to other Note applications your data is not stored and synchronized to Servers in other countries with unknown data protection laws.

Instead your data is uploaded to the provider you trust and which you even use already for your E-Mail communication.

MailNotes is not uploading any data to other servers than your E-Mail provider.

It uses the Chilkat IMAP library to connect to your Provider.

The connection encyrption is hard coded to SSL 3.0 which is usually on port 993.

The password to this server can be either stored, for easier handling, by MailNotes or

entered once when the application tries first time to connect to do a server request.

When not saving the password you will be asked for it as soon the first server request is beeing made.

MailNotes forgets the password again after the application has been closed.

MailNotes has been tested on two tablet devices using Android 5.1.1 and Android 6.0.
