Marko

Marko is a precision timing tool for sailors and navigators using a sextant.

When taking a celestial sight you call "MARK" at the instant the observed body touches the horizon

and you are satisfied with the alignment. To be precise you need the exact time. If you are alone

on watch or signle handed Marko will freeze the time for you, so you can read and record it without mistakes.

An error of 1 second of time in taking a sextant sight equates to a 0.25 nautical mile (approx. 1/4 mile)
