History of karate

The average community around the world knows that karate comes from Japan. But, you need to know, actually Japan only developed a martial arts from China. At first, around the 16th century AD, Okinawa Island which at that time was being colonized by Japan. Then Japan made a rule that no Okinawans should have any kind of weapon. Then a Chinese merchant taught martial arts called Chinese hands or tote to Okinawan residents quietly.
