Biography of Al-Allamah Al-Habib Ali bin Muhammad bin Husayn Al-Habsyi; The Author Maulid Simthud Duror

If a dozen years ago only certain circles knew and read the Maulid Simthud Duror book in Indonesia, now the situation has changed. This book has become increasingly popular in recent years to accompany other Maulid books that have already existed.

Before being widely distributed in Indonesia, this book has spread in the Arabian Peninsula, Africa, and several other countries in Asia, and has now reached the continents of Europe, America, and other parts of the world. SimthudDuror was written by "Habib Ali bin Muhammad Al-Habsyi" when he was 68 years old.

On Thursday 26 Shafar 1327 H/18 March 1909, Habib Ali dictated the first paragraph of Maulid Simthud Durar after starting it with basmalah, starting with al-hamdu lillahil qawiyyi sulthanuh and so on until wa huwa min fawqi ilmi ma qad ra-athu rif' atan fi syu-unihi wa kamala. He then ordered that the writing be read to him.

After the introduction was read, he said, "God willing, I will complete it. I've been wanting to compose a Maulid story for a long time."
