Mercedes-Benz BKK ePA

Since January 1, 2021, those with statutory health insurance have been entitled to a free electronic patient record (ePA) from their health insurance company. You can voluntarily manage your health data there securely for life; you have sole data sovereignty.

The ePA is an additional app in addition to the Mercedes-Benz BKK service app.

You can easily obtain the ePA from Mercedes-Benz BKK. With your approval, doctors digitally store diagnoses, findings or medication plans for you in the ePA. Further functions are planned.

Features:

• Access only with secure identification to protect your data

• Secure login with or without a health card (eGK)

• Upload, download and manage medical documents

• Save and view digital documents: vaccination certificate, maternity certificate, child examination booklet, dental bonus booklet

• Request benefits information from us

• Authorize practices and facilities to access documents in your patient record

• Set up access for people you want to represent you

• Access and represent other people's medical records

• Take data from your previous ePA with you

• Track all activity in your patient record in the log

• Access your patient records on multiple devices

• Change the PIN of your health card (eGK).

Security:

To ensure that only you or people authorized by you have access to your ePA, we will securely identify you once.

To do this, use one of the following options:

• Activation code: We will identify you in one of our customer centers and give you an activation code.

• POSTIDENT: You have the choice between identifying yourself at the post office or using an electronic ID card.

• Selfie-Ident: Use the identification via the Nect app.

• Health card (eGK): Use your eGK including the corresponding PIN.

The app is continually being developed in accordance with legal requirements.

• Users are insured with Mercedes-Benz BKK

• Android 10 or higher

• No device with a modified operating system (keyword “jailbreak”)
