Microkatu Map

KPY Novapolis map application works as your guide on the Microkatu campus. The app caters for both campus visitors and its regular users. You can use the application to search e.g. various campus services, meeting rooms, information points and businesses based on the campus. The application gives you detailed navigation instructions from your current location to the destination or to the right entrance. You can search for the route already from home, in which case the application will also show the car park closest to your destination.

The app includes a map of the entire exterior and interior of the Microkatu campus area. The app utilizes location information to display your real-time position. In addition to GPS data, the application utilizes Bluetooth Low Energy beacons and the phone's internal sensors (e.g. accelerometer) for calculating your current location. Indoor position covers the public areas of the campus. Positioning and navigation on campus is provided by Proximi.io.
