Mosa-X

Mosa-X is an app that allows a large group of smartphone users to jointly create images and messages as a crowd, for protests and public non-profit events. Based on the user’s smartphone location and improved Galileo accuracy, the app displays a geo-referenced color based on the user’s location, which in combination with other users’ smartphones and their respective colors can create complex images in high resolution.

The images to be formed by the group are previously uploaded on Mosa-X's web-platform and positioned on a digital map representing where the event will happen. Users navigate the application, choosing the event they want to participate and previewing the picture to be displayed. They are then able to engage in the image if they are at the chosen location and time span of the event.
