LP & Vinyl Record Collection

Vinyl Collection is a record collection tracker for people who own physical records and want their shelf catalogued without typing pressing details by hand. Photograph a sleeve, review what the AI filled in, and your collection grows one scanned cover at a time.

THE CORE LOOP

Point your camera at a record cover and the app identifies the artist, album, likely label and pressing year, then hands the result to a normal entry form so you can check every field before it saves. Add records manually too — full control over artist, album, label, pressing year, genre and condition either way.

WHAT'S IN THE APP

• AI Cover-Scan — photograph a sleeve and get artist, album, label guess, pressing year guess and an estimated value range back, with a confidence note on how sure the read is

• Collection-DNA — a written read of your shelf's actual shape: which genres and decades you lean on, where the gaps sit, and specific gap-filling titles, generated once you have 3+ records catalogued

• Genre and decade insights — your shelf broken down by genre and by decade, plus totals and an average per record, clearly labelled as estimates

• Goldmine condition grading — the standard collector scale (Mint, Near Mint, Very Good Plus, Very Good, Good Plus, Good, Fair, Poor) on every record, not a generic star rating

• Wishlist with an ownership check — add records you're hunting for with a target price and a note, and the app tells you if you already own that artist/album pairing before you buy a duplicate

• Search and genre filters across your shelf, with cover art, condition badge and estimated value on every grid tile

• Value estimate lookups — a quick AI-estimated value range for a record you're adding, separate from the cover-scan flow

• Local-first storage — your shelf opens instantly and works with no signal; a network call only happens for an AI feature

• Optional reminders — a nudge while you're short of unlocking Collection-DNA, a weekly digest only when your wishlist isn't empty, and a note when your shelf has grown enough for a fresh DNA read. Off by default, never a daily ping

• Light, Dark and System theme, matching your phone automatically in System mode

VALUE FIGURES, HONESTLY LABELLED

Every dollar figure here is either a price you typed in yourself or an AI's estimate from general collecting knowledge — never a market price, a price guide or an appraisal. Estimates are marked as estimates everywhere they appear: on the shelf, in your totals, and in the scan result.

WHAT'S FREE

Cataloguing your whole shelf costs nothing: unlimited manual records, unlimited wishlist entries, and full genre/decade insights with no cap. On top of that you get 3 AI cover-scans, 2 Collection-DNA reads and 5 value-estimate lookups per day at no cost, so you can try every AI feature before deciding whether Pro is worth it to you.

WHAT PRO ADDS

Vinyl Collection Pro removes the cap once you're past the free allowance: unlimited AI Cover-Scan for working through a real backlog, unlimited Collection-DNA reads with your history kept so you can see how your shelf's shape changes over time, and unlimited value-estimate lookups. Pro also removes the banner ads that free users see on the Collection, Wishlist and Insights tabs.

Vinyl Collection Pro is offered as a monthly subscription at $4.99 or an annual subscription at $29.99. Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and you can manage or cancel any time in your device's Account Settings.

Your collection lives on your device. Record photos are your own — nothing is shared, and no catalogue artwork is bundled with the app.
