My Kin helps you keep track of the small things that make up good health and gives you tips on how to take control of them! We are on a mission to build the first wellbeing app that is truly centred on local communities, and that is powered by the latest data science.

My Kin cherry-picks suggestions and community activities (currently available in Staffordshire and County Durham) that can help you improve your social, mental, and physical wellbeing day-by-day, making it easy and fun to embrace a healthy lifestyle.

You can keep an eye on your wellbeing metrics, share your wellbeing journeys with your friends and family, and find out more about local community events all through the app.

How it works

To deliver its insights, My Kin makes use of your phone’s in-built sensors, running them in the background to continuously give you a complete picture of your wellbeing, day-by-day.

We use accelerometers to assess physical activity, sound to estimate social activity (we only identify chit-chat and never record what is being said), location to determine the time you spent out and about as well as to recommend the most relevant activities in your local area, and most of the above to estimate sleep!

These measures are used to suggest changes you could make to your lifestyle, or fun activities that can help you make these changes - and that, in a nutshell, is My Kin!
