Greek mythology, that is to say the organized set of myths from ancient Greece, developed over a very long period ranging from the Mycenaean civilization to Roman domination. The meeting between the Greeks and the Romans coincides with that of Greek mythology and Roman mythology: the first exerts a strong influence on the second, which is not reduced to that.
