Information on signs of poisoning for active ingredients in pesticide products
The Poison Sign Information System (TOXINSIGN) was developed to provide information on the signs of poisoning for active ingredients in pesticide products. Farmers, agricultural entrepreneurs, Agricultural Development Agents (APT) and related agencies can make referrals through TOXINSIGN to obtain information on prescribed signs of poisoning. For your information, this information on signs of poisoning has been harmonized and standardized by the Task Force Committee on Signs of Poisoning and Emergency Treatment on Pesticide Labels which has been made in stages. This committee consists of the Pesticides Board (LRMP), the Ministry of Health Malaysia (KKM), the National Poison Center (PRN) and the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (JKKP). This information will be updated from time to time based on needs. This TOXINSIGN is adapted from the 2020 Pesticide Product Labeling Guidelines (Appendix G). With the existence of the TOXINSIGN information system, it can provide a better choice on the access method to obtain information on signs of poisoning for each active referrer quickly and up-to-date. This can improve the efficiency of service delivery to the target group.
