NARUTO CARD GAME is an upcoming physical Naruto trading card game built around four-round tactical battles.
Bandai Card Games develops NARUTO CARD GAME, combining mission scoring with hidden characters for bluff-focused matches. Players build small ninja decks, manage chakra, and compete for mission points instead of relying on one powerful card. Its main systems are outlined below.
Build a 30-card deck with character upgrades and varied versions.
Win missions by comparing combined character Power across four rounds.
Use Hidden characters to bluff rivals and trigger Ambush effects.
Spend chakra carefully when playing, revealing, and upgrading characters.
Collect anime, manga, and original artist card illustrations.
NARUTO CARD GAME uses missions as the main battlefield. Each player chooses three mission cards, and new missions appear as the four rounds progress. Characters are assigned to active missions, then their total Power is compared during Mission Evaluation. Missions resolve from D-rank through A-rank, so timing matters because stronger opportunities become available later in the match.
This format gives matches a clear endpoint and makes scoring easy to follow at the table. A player can focus resources on an early mission or preserve characters for a later, higher-value contest. The player with the most mission points after the fourth round wins, which helps keep a session focused rather than open-ended. It also means a lost mission does not automatically decide the whole game.
NARUTO CARD GAME gives every character a chakra cost, creating choices around when to commit cards. During the Action Phase, a character can enter play face up by paying its cost. A more advanced version of a character can later be played at the same mission as an upgrade. Only the difference between the two chakra costs must be paid, allowing a smaller character to develop without paying twice.
That upgrade rule encourages decks built around related character versions instead of isolated high-cost cards. Saving chakra can prepare a stronger turn, while spending too quickly may leave a mission exposed. Players new to a Naruto TCG may need a few practice games to judge these costs well.
NARUTO CARD GAME adds uncertainty through Hidden characters. For one chakra, a player can place a character face down rather than showing it immediately. The character can be revealed later by paying its printed chakra cost, and cards played this way may activate Ambush effects. This makes an apparently weak mission more difficult for an opponent to read.
Hidden cards are useful when a player wants to discourage an attack or hold back an answer until Mission Evaluation approaches. However, they still require chakra planning, so placing several cards face down does not guarantee a later reveal. The best moments come from reading the mission state rather than hiding every character. This mechanic gives the game a bluffing element that simple Power comparisons alone would not provide.
NARUTO CARD GAME uses the Edge token to reward careful passing decisions. The player who passes first gains or keeps Edge, which breaks tied missions and grants the first action in the next round. A tie can therefore be meaningful, especially when both sides have committed similar Power to a key mission. Priority also affects whether a player can act before the rival changes the board.
This system turns passing into part of the strategy instead of a passive choice. A player may stop adding cards to protect chakra for the next round, while also securing an advantage in a close contest. Since only four rounds are played, the Edge token can influence several important moments without making every decision complicated. It pairs naturally with face-down characters, as players must decide whether to act now or wait.
