Netzgänger 3.0

The aim of Netzgänger 3.0 is to prepare schoolchildren between the ages of ten and twelve (5th / 6th grade) for the appropriate and low-risk use of the Internet and smartphone. So-called peers take on this task for netgoers. These are pupils from the 9th / 10th Class leading tutorials for younger students. There are four different modules: Smart on the net (data protection), virtual game worlds, cyberbullying and social networks. The peers are trained in one training day by trainers from Condrobs e.V. It is financed by the Techniker Krankenkasse.

This app is intended to offer all pupils, peers, teachers and parents information, tips and tricks as well as the latest news on the subject of media literacy and the Netzgänger 3.0 project.

Contents of the tutorials and the app:

Virtual game worlds

This tutorial is all about computer, cell phone, online and console games. The younger students reflect on their gaming habits and consider why playing is so fun, but also what alternatives there are to virtual games. They also learn to recognize risky (game) behavior and acquire strategies on how to deal with it.

Social networks

The tutorial "Social Networks" focuses on the opportunities and risks of social networks (e.g. Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, etc.). The students in the lower grades should learn how communication works in today's world, what to look for and what rules are necessary. The focus here is primarily on the smartphone, as many students use it.

cyberbullying

Bullying means deliberately insulting, threatening, exposing or harassing others over a long period of time. Of course, this can also occur on the Internet and is then called cyberbullying. This tutorial focuses on understanding what cyberbullying is, who is involved and what you can do if you are affected.

Smart on the net

The tutorial "Smart on the Net" deals with various topics related to the Internet and smartphones. The students learn to distinguish serious from dubious online offers and deal with the topic of data protection. In this tutorial it is best to address currently important topics.
