NextGen Sentinel

NextGen Sentinel is a phone connection diagnostic application. Sentinel is used to monitor phone data connections and call status for analysis purposes.

Changes in the call status, cellular and data connection type, Bluetooth status and Wifi Connection and nearby hotspots are recorded to a timestamped log when Sentinel is running. The log file is uploaded to NextGen Servers, where the logs can be analysed for various purposes. Sentinel is started and stopped by the user and runs in the background while active. The application logs status at 10-second intervals and stores the data in a log file.

NextGen Sentinel can be used to monitor network conditions on a journey, and provide information such as cellular signal strengths at various GPS locations, for example, to help identify call dropouts due to network coverage issues.
