Nye is the secure way to have a video consultation with your NHS clinician

The app you’re currently having a look at is our patient app which allows your NHS clinician to video call you securely, from anywhere.

(Hint: if you’re a clinician you won’t need this app, unless, of course, you want it for personal use. For info on what you need to do as a clinician, head here: https://www.meet.nye.health/for-healthcare-professionals)

If you have been invited by your GP practice or healthcare provider to use the Nye app then you can either

Register through the invite link you have been sent via SMS by your healthcare provider

Install the app, open it and click sign-up

The Nye app was built in the NHS, with the NHS and for the NHS.

We’ve worked really hard to design our app with clinicians and patients, so that the experience you have is as much like a normal healthcare appointment as possible.

We set out to build the Nye app as a team of Doctors and patients who know that sometimes we all want to speak with our clinician away from a GP practice or hospital, often from the comfort of home. Being able to see over video can be reassuring and also help share important clinical information.

In times like these, having this ability feels even more important than ever.

Clinicians using this app to call you are the incredible front-line NHS staff doing vital work during this outbreak. One way they can stay safe if by carrying out appointments remotely.

When your clinician video calls you, it will come through your Nye app. Make sure you have enabled notifications for your Nye app in your phone settings.

Clinicians can also use Nye to telephone call you.

When your clinician uses Nye to telephone call you, it will come through as a normal landline call on 01863535262.

We aim to gradually add features to the app to offer you information, guidance, community support and other forms of interaction with doctors, to help you to manage your health.
