OleoTest ™ Quality Control of Frying Oils and Fats

The OleoTest ™, the market leader since its launch in 2000, maintains its innovative tradition and brings to market an smartphone application that allows automatic reading of the test result and its digital record. The application can be used in over 20 countries for which this product is exported.

The application includes features like automatic recording of test results through the automatic recognition of the result, access to historical analysis, ability to export data and access to analytical reports of products, being an asset for the automation of HACCP systems.

The OleoTest ™ is the result of R&DI project of a Portuguese spinoff, the Castro, Pinto & Costa. The simplicity (no reagents, software or calibration), reliability and low cost of the test provides enforcement of legislation on the control of polar compounds in frying oils. By Portuguese legislation and other, the maximum value of polar compounds shall not exceed 25%, protecting public health and allowing significant savings to companies using oils in frying processes.
