Parafarmacia Castillo

The pharmacy, located in the central Corrida de Gijón street, was founded in 1922 by Mr. Juan del Castillo, an advanced chemist and pharmacist for his time in which he developed in his laboratory various innovative products that were marketed such as Cutaneous Water and the Castillo Dental Perborato.

In 2005 it was acquired by its current owner Mr. Miguel Martínez Blanco. With his arrival, a complete remodeling of its facilities is carried out, adapting them to current times but preserving on its facade an interesting mosaic of glazed earthenware by the great master Ruiz de Luna de Talavera de la Reina, which is part of the cultural heritage of the city. town.

Over time, the pharmacy has been and is a benchmark in Gijón, being the first to obtain the Quality Certificate both in the preparation of magisterial formulas and medicinal preparations, as well as in dispensing and pharmaceutical care.
