Every person metabolizes drugs differently. How drugs are processed depends among other factors on DNA variants.

“pharma.sensor” shows which genes are important for the safe efficacy of a drug and whether special recommendations can be considered for detected DNA variants.

Basis of the information are the official recommendations of the expert group DPWG (Royal Dutch Association for the Advancement of Pharmacy - Pharmacogenetics Working Group).

You can search for drugs by entering the name of the drug, the active ingredient or the PZN- number (Pharmazentralnummer; pharmaceutical central number). You can also scan the barcode on the drug package for a quick and easy search.

In addition, the app explains basic knowledge on genes, DNA variants, proteins and the efficacy of drugs.
