To The Phone Company, which had no sense of geological wonder, this spelled TNT, bridges and tubes. Before getting engaged in somewhat that an independent obeserver could have described as action however, they decided to do what they were best at, which was waiting. Maybe after some months the mountains would disappear. So they waited for several months. Then they decided, what they really need is an expert.
