About Pill Counter
Fast pill counts from a photo, with dots you can check and correct.
Count tablets and capsules from a photo. Spread the pills into one layer, point the camera straight down, and tap Count. Pill Counter places a dot on each detected pill so you can check and correct the result.
Unlimited offline counts. Multi-photo Burst. Saved history that stays on your phone with no expiry.
Choose how you count:
Accurate is the default. It uses encrypted cloud processing plus an on-device cross-check.
Speed counts entirely on your device. Free offline counting is paced; Pro removes the added wait. Difficult pills may be counted less accurately offline.
Burst lets you take several photos quickly while counting continues in the background. Queue up to 50 photos at a time, then review and save them to make room for more.
To use Burst, tap the camera mode icon to switch to the stacked-photo icon, then tap the shutter once per photo. In Review, tap Select and choose photos to see their combined count. Set an expected total to compare it with the sum. Combine separate batches, not repeat photos of the same pills: the app adds counts and does not deduplicate pills across photos. Uncounted photos are marked separately and are not included in the sum.
Free includes unlimited offline counts, up to 20 Accurate counts a day, and 3 Burst photos a day. Saved on-device count history has no app-imposed count limit or automatic expiry on either plan, subject to your phone's available storage.
Pro includes unlimited Accurate, unlimited Burst, and offline counts without the free-tier wait. Online counts depend on service availability: free online capacity is shared, while Pro has reserved capacity. If online capacity is reached, you can still count offline. History stays on your device until you delete it, clear app data, or uninstall.
Your photo appears immediately while counting continues. Zoom in, remove an extra dot, add a missed dot, and save the reviewed correction on your device. Correction sharing is on by default, but nothing is submitted for training until you press Send for review. You can turn sharing off at any time.
Pill Counter can make mistakes, including missed pills, duplicate detections, and incorrect counts caused by touching or overlapping pills, glare, blur, lighting, framing, pill appearance, device behavior, or network availability. Always inspect every marker and independently verify the count using the procedures required for your setting.
Pill Counter is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. It does not identify medication or determine a dose. Consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Do not use the app as the sole control for dispensing or any decision where an incorrect count could cause harm.
Keep patient names, prescription labels, paperwork, faces, and other unnecessary identifying information outside the camera frame. See the Privacy Policy for details about cloud processing, local storage, and user choices.
