Pocket Pointer

Pocket Pointer records a directional bearing from your phone to an object selected using the screen as a viewfinder.

The measurement is expressed in degrees of rise (fall)and in degrees of rotation from True North. This defines any direction from the source in three dimensions.

This recording can then be automatically sent to a preselected recipient email. A photo can also be saved on the SD card to confirm the reading.

This app may be useful to photographers to record their exact camera angles. It can also define outdoor lines of sight or to survey interior space.

The app might also be useful in crime scene investigation to analyze bullet trajectories.
