Policop

Policop is a security application designed to protect citizens in risk situations. Its main purpose is to prevent telephone extortion, alert about suspicious calls and allow real-time alerts to be sent to authorities and neighbors in emergency cases. PoliCop does not represent any government entity and is not officially affiliated with the government of Peru.

🔹 Main functions

✅ Identification of dangerous calls: When a user receives a call, Policop verifies in real time if the number has previously been reported as suspected of extortion or fraud. In case of a match, the app displays an alert on the screen to warn the user before answering.

✅ Sending emergency alerts: Policop allows users to send real-time alerts in case of traffic accidents, theft, violence, fires and other emergency events. Alerts are notified to appropriate authorities and nearby neighbors for faster response.

🔹 Why does Policop request calling permissions?

To offer these security features, Policop requires access to incoming calls in order to:
