Prayer to Saint Luzia

“O Santa Luzia, who preferred to have your eyes gouged out and plucked out rather than deny your faith and compose your soul; God, with a miracle, gave you back two perfect eyes to reward your virtue and your faith, and made you protective against eye diseases. I turn to you to protect my eyes and heal the disease of my eyes. O Santa Luzia, keep the light of my eyes so that I can see the beauties of creation, the brightness of the sun, the colors of the forests and the smile of children. Also keep the eyes of my soul, the faith, by which I can understand your teachings, recognize your love for me and never miss the path that will lead me where you Santa Luzia, meet, in the company of Angels and Saints. Holy Luzia, protect my eyes and preserve my faith. Amen."
