Prensa Libre Canal 21

Prensa Libre TV was born out of the need to establish an ideal platform to carry out investigative journalism in favor of the most deprived in the South Zone of the Country.

Prensa Libre TV, under the name at that time of: Libertad TV, began broadcasting from Choluteca, Honduras, with a test signal for 12 hours a day (7:00 am - 7:00 pm), 7 days a week , in February 2012, whose programming consisted of musicals, documentaries, cartoons and films; the only live program was "Prensa Libre" which was broadcast from Monday to Friday from 12:00 p.m. at 2:00 p.m.

On April 26 of the same year Prensa Libre TV - Channel 21 (Libertad TV), made its official grand opening and began broadcasting its signal for 18 hours a day (6:00 am - 11:00 pm), 7 days of the week, with a varied program oriented to satisfy the needs of informing, educating, guiding, entertaining with absolute responsibility, under the parameters of the ethics and legislation in force in the country.

Throughout these years, Channel 21 has been classified as one of the main alternative information sources in the South Region of the country, since it often covers topics ignored by the other media.
