protraQ - the first control app for electronic tickets

With the protraQ app, digital tickets (e-tickets and 2D barcodes) in public transport can be checked quickly and easily. The protraQ app is the new edition of the popular mytraQ app, which has been used by transport companies and passengers since 2014.

For transport companies/associations:

With protraQ, public transport companies can specifically control electronic driving authorizations and secure their income. The testing process via smartphone app is quick and ensures high control efficiency. Simply scan online/mobile tickets (2D barcodes) or read the chip-based ticket using an NFC-enabled smartphone. The app tells you directly on which route and for how long the driving license is valid. The collected data flows directly into the management systems via standard interfaces for seamless further processing.

The free basic version of the app already does this. The full version offers additional features such as complete blacklist management and an integrated product/control module that allows you to block cards directly and minimize cases of fraud.

Have you used protraQ for your chip cards and received a number combination or “Unknown product” in response? No problem! For example, send us a list of your products/ticket types or stops to [email protected]. We enable your company and your products to be recognized when checked by protraQ.

For passengers:

Have you always wanted to know what information is contained in the square codes printed on Deutsche Bahn tickets? Now you can easily find out for yourself. With the protraQ app developed by the Freiburg software company highQ computer solutions, you scan the 2D barcode and find out which driving authorization is stored in it. You can also read e-ticket chip cards from other transport providers.

In the current test edition of the protraQ app, the number of control processes is limited compared to the full version. There is also no online connection to your background systems. However, it is completely sufficient for simple checking of 2D barcodes and e-tickets. Therefore, it is initially aimed primarily at transport companies and associations. But as a passenger you are also warmly invited to test the functions - we look forward to your feedback!
