About Pyck
Enjoy millions of the latest Android apps, games, music, movies, TV, books, magazines & more. Anytime, anywhere, across your devices.
Pyck is an experimental application developed by PhyCo Lab, Physical Computing Laboratory of Politecnico di Milano, to investigate new interaction ways and possibilities with the audience of shows, live performances and expository events. Commissioned for the event Fotografia Europea 2013, it is going to enable the audience to manipulate the digital scenography visuals of the opening concert just by dancing, moving and shaking. The more you dance the more the atmosphere gets hot!
Connect your device to the dedicated Wi-Fi network and keep Pyck running during the event if you want to be part of it!
Pyck detects the movements of your device and send them to a server which converts them into dynamic projections. These are the result of the creative work of young digital artists and are able to make the event you’re participating in really unique.
The whole crowd contributes to generate the digital scenography of the concert, depending on the mood of every single participant. The look, the mood and the emotions aroused are translated into visual signs that can be differently interpreted.
Application was developed in collaboration with Webdevelovers for Android 4.0+ smartphones.
