QR Code Scanner & Generator

Scan any code with your camera, get the result instantly, and act on it in one tap. QR Code Scanner & Generator is a small, fast QR code scanner that works completely offline.

THE RESULT SCREEN HAS NO ADS

When you scan a code, what you see is the result. Not an advert dressed up to look like one. This is the one screen in the app that will never carry advertising.

SCAN QR CODES AND BARCODES

Point the camera at the code. The QR code reader detects and decodes it automatically, with auto-focus and auto-zoom, so you never have to line up the shot or zoom in on a small or distant code. It reads codes at an angle, on screens, and in the dark with the light on.

ALL COMMON FORMATS

QR Code, Data Matrix, Aztec, PDF417, EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, UPC-E, Code 128, Code 39, Code 93, ITF and Codabar.

CHECK A LINK BEFORE YOU OPEN IT

A sticker can be placed over a real code. Before opening anything, the app shows you the real web address in large type, with the international characters unmasked, and runs sixteen checks for the tricks used in scam codes: lookalike domains, hidden addresses, bare IP addresses, shortened links and unencrypted logins. Those checks run on your phone and send the address nowhere. If the code is a shortened link you can tap to see where it really goes, and only then does the app contact the shortener. Links never open on their own.

WHAT YOU CAN DO WITH A RESULT

- Open a link, or copy and share it

- Connect to Wi-Fi without typing the password

- Save a contact to your phonebook

- Add an event to your calendar

- Open a location in Maps

- Start an email, message or call

- Look up a product or a book by its barcode

CREATE YOUR OWN CODES

Turn text, a link, Wi-Fi details, a contact card, an email, a message, a phone number, a location or an event into a code. Choose your colours, add a logo, round the dots and corners, add a gradient, and put a caption underneath. Every code is tested before you see it, so a styled code still scans. You can also make Code 128, Code 39, EAN, UPC, ITF, Codabar, PDF417, Data Matrix and Aztec barcodes.

BATCH SCANNING

Scan a shelf, a box of parcels or a room of assets one after another, then save the lot in one go.

HISTORY THAT STAYS ON YOUR PHONE

Every scan and every code you make is saved, searchable, and yours. Add notes, mark favourites, sort into folders, and export the lot to CSV. Nothing is uploaded.

WORKS OFFLINE

No account, no sign-up, no connection needed to scan or to create.

PRIVACY

The only permission the app asks for is the camera, and only when you first open the scan screen. Your history stays on the device.

Supported by ads on the history and settings screens. One optional purchase removes them and unlocks styling, folders and export.
