📋 The right action for each code

Each type of code comes with its own actions:

• Wi-Fi: join the network without typing the password

• Contacts and business cards (vCard): save them to your contacts

• Phone, SMS and email: the dialer or your app opens with everything filled in. Nothing is called or sent until you confirm.

• Locations: open the spot in your maps app

• Events: add them to your calendar

• Links and text: open, copy or share

🛡️ Check links before opening them

A QR code can hide any web address, and fake codes stuck on top of real ones are a common scam. Before you open a link, the app shows you the real domain and the full address, and warns you if:

• the site doesn't use an encrypted connection (HTTPS)

• it's a shortened link that hides where it really goes

• the address mixes in letters from other alphabets that look like normal ones

When something looks off, "Don't open" is the main option. Links never open by themselves.
