Ragweed Finder

The Ragweed Finder app allows you to report ragweed sightings from anywhere in Austria using your mobile device. Learn how to identify ragweed, check your find using the checklist, take a photo, and report it to us. You will receive confirmation of your report and feedback on whether it is ragweed or not. Every confirmed sighting appears on the map, which can also be viewed publicly at www.ragweedfinder.at. There you will also find previous reports from years since the Ragweed Finder was implemented.

As the Austrian Pollen Information Service, we are aware of the problems posed by the invasive ragweed. Ragweed is not only a major problem for the health sector, but it also incurs costs for road maintenance, agriculture, and the economy in general. The Ragweed Finder provides more information and everything you need to know about this topic.

In addition to reporting your sighting, you can also let us know if you suffer from a ragweed pollen allergy and how high the pollen count is in your area. This allows us to more accurately assess the ragweed population, which fluctuates considerably from year to year, and to implement targeted measures at the participating institutions.

We evaluate every reported sighting and forward all verified findings to our cooperation partners with the aim of reducing the spread of ragweed, better identifying hotspots, and sustainably reducing the suffering of ragweed pollen allergy sufferers.
