Kwartet Jaya is a comedy group that dominated performances in the 70s. Formed by Bing Slamet in 1967 with Eddy Sudihardjo (Eddy Sud), Kho Tjeng Lie (Ateng) and Iskak Darmo Suwiryo (Iskak). Before Ateng joined, this group was called EBI: Eddy Sud, Bing, Iskak. Each member of the Jaya Kwartet is not just joining in and telling jokes, but each member has abilities that other comedians don't have. In each of its performances, Kwartet Jaya is better known as a comedy group that often delivers targeted social criticism and also has dialogue that tickles the stomach.
