Resist is an Android app blocker and screen time tracker built for more intentional phone use. Choose distracting apps, set limits that fit your day, and add a calm pause between impulse and action.

BLOCK DISTRACTING APPS

Choose social media, video, games, shopping, or other installed apps you want to use less. Resist places a clear block screen over selected apps when a rule is active.

BUILD RULES AROUND YOUR HABITS

Create custom app-blocking rules using:

• Daily time limits for each app

• Limits on how many times an app can be opened

• Scheduled blocking for work, study, bedtime, or weekends

• Session limits followed by cooldown breaks

• Opening delays that interrupt automatic checking

PAUSE BEFORE YOU SCROLL

Instead of relying only on hard lockouts, Resist can add intentional friction. Use a breathing pause before unlocking an app, wait through an opening delay, or let a cooldown create space between sessions.

ENHANCED PROTECTION (OPTIONAL, USES THE ACCESSIBILITY API)

Enhanced protection is an optional feature that uses Android's AccessibilityService API. It is off until you read the in-app disclosure and tap "Agree and turn on", and you can turn it off at any time in Android Settings. Resist is not an accessibility tool. When you turn it on, Resist uses the service only to:

• See which app is open, so blocks appear instantly

• Detect the Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts players you chose to block, and close them

• Read the website address shown in your browser's address bar, so websites you chose to block stay blocked

Resist does not read what you type, your messages, passwords, or other content on your screen. Nothing it sees is stored, shared, or sent off your phone. Resist has no account and no server for this feature.

BLOCK REELS, SHORTS, AND WEBSITES (PRO)

With Enhanced protection on, Resist Pro can block only the Reels or Shorts feed while leaving the rest of the app usable, and can block websites you choose in your browser.

HARDER TO BREAK IN A WEAK MOMENT (PRO)

Change delay makes you wait before you weaken or remove protection, so a passing craving can't undo a decision you made calmly.
