📱 riPax: Smart System for WebGIS Cemetery Management

riPax is a hybrid application (developed with the Flutter framework and an integrated WebGIS engine) designed to digitize, simplify, and optimize the technical, registry, and spatial management of cemeteries. Aimed at cemetery operators, municipal technical offices, and, with a view to the future, visitors, the app combines the power of a cloud-based management system with the versatility of interactive cartography on smartphones and tablets.

Below are the main features, divided into modules:

🗺️ 1. Interactive Cartography and WebGIS

The heart of the app is a highly precise digital map that reproduces the entire cemetery layout.

Zoom-dependent Layer Management: The map dynamically displays areas, lots, and explanatory text based on the zoom level, keeping the interface clean and legible.

Multiple Basemaps: Quickly change the map background, choosing between neutral cartography, OpenStreetMap, Google Satellite, Google Streets, or the ultra-high-resolution ArcGIS Satellite (ESRI) map.

Search Engine: A quick search bar allows you to find a deceased person or a specific burial site simply by entering their name or code. The map automatically "flies" (FlyTo) to the exact location, highlighting it with a visual animation.

🚶‍♂️ 2. GPS Geolocation and Internal Navigation

The app transforms your smartphone into a true pedestrian cemetery navigator.

Real-time GPS Tracking: By pressing the appropriate button, the map locks onto your position. The traditional "dot" is replaced by a directional arrow that physically rotates based on the device's compass, indicating exactly where you are looking.

Routing Engine (Dijkstra Algorithm): The app can trace the optimal pedestrian route to a specific grave.

Dynamic Recalculation: By selecting the "From my GPS position" option, the blue route line updates step by step as the operator walks along the paths.

Security Geofence: GPS is activated only if the user is physically inside the cemetery or within a maximum radius of 1,000 meters, preventing accidental zooming out of the area and saving battery power.

👤 3. Personal Data and Concessions Management

Each niche, tomb, or ossuary on the map is clickable and opens a detail sheet (popup).

Living/Deceased Distinction: The system clearly separates the personal data of deceased residents from those still living (concession holders).

Data Management: Administrators can add, edit, or delete personal data (dates of birth/death, exact location, votive lamp status) directly in the field.

Security Protocols: Critical operations, such as emptying a burial niche or deleting a record from the database, are protected by a "Double Check" system through customized confirmation windows to prevent accidental deletions.

📊 4. Geoprocessing and Spatial Analysis

A dashboard dedicated to administrators for visually analyzing cemetery data through instant thematic maps.

Occupancy Status: Color the map to show at a glance fully occupied burial niches (red), partially vacant or reserved burial niches (yellow), and entirely vacant burial niches (green).

Permit Expirations: By entering a number of years (e.g., "More than 30 years since death"), the map automatically highlights all graves with expired burial niches, facilitating exhumation scheduling.

Loan Map: Graphically highlights loans and transfers of burial spaces (between the Municipality and private individuals or between private individuals), visually distinguishing between active and expired applications.
