Russian National Youth Symphony Orchestra (RNYSO) is the largest project that explores new directions in orchestral culture by bringing together unique young music talents. In 2018 Moscow Philharmonic Society funded through Presidential Grants Foundation sponsored the 1st National Orchestral Performance Competition. The top 100 performers were then selected as members of the Russian National Youth Symphony Orchestra (RNYSO).

The musicians are being schooled by top-notch conductors and early music experts, first class concertmasters and teachers. Conceptually the project seeks to integrate an orchestra that performs music across the country with an educational institution that aims to nurture a new generation of orchestral performers. The RNYSO musicians are shortlisted as a pool of candidates to be recruited by Russia's leading symphony orchestras.
