Salmo 36

1 There is an oracle within my heart concerning the wickedness of the wicked: It is useless to fear God in their eyes.

2 He thinks he's so important that he doesn't realize or reject his sin.

3 The words of his mouth are malicious and treacherous; he has abandoned common sense and does not want to do good.

4 Even in your bed you plan evil; there is nothing good in the way he has embarked on, and he never rejects evil.

5 Your love, Lord, reaches to the heavens; your faithfulness to the clouds.

6 Your righteousness is firm as the high mountains; your decisions unfathomable as the great sea. You, Lord, preserve both man and beast.

7 How precious is your love, O God! Men find refuge in the shadow of your wings.

8 They feast on the abundance of your house; you give them drink from your river of delights.

9 For with you is the fountain of life; thanks to your light, we see the light.

10 Extend your love to those who know you; your righteousness to those who are upright in heart.

11 Let not the arrogant trample me down, nor the hand of the wicked make me retreat.

12 There are the fallen evildoers, thrown to the ground, unable to get up!
