Scandinavian Style

The decor in the Scandinavian style is somewhat restrained and laconic. But this does not mean that everything is dull and faded. On the contrary, such simplicity stimulates to choose only the most exciting and conceptual subjects.

Most often, as a decoration, they use a selection of black and white photographs, of different sizes, in thin and straightforward wooden frames or without them at all. In addition to photos, you can hang posters.

Preserve as much light as possible; mirrors complement the interior. They can be very old - with wiped frames, fancy patterns on structures, of all sizes.

The predominant use in the interior of natural materials causes the popularity of hand-made decor items - napkins, tracks, sometimes even vases, and the furniture itself. So, if you can sew and embroider, it will be where to place your products. Remember that one aspect of the Scandinavian style is the principle of minimalism in everything. It is better to limit one bright napkin than to turn your apartment into a colorful spot.

To emphasize the style, designers often use the nautical theme in the design - a rough thread, parts of ship mechanisms, old maps, shells, and stones. And the primary occupation of ancestors is revealed through hunting decor - hides, horns, skulls, weapons - everything can become a decor.

Choosing the items for decorating your interior, be based first of all on the material. Wooden or glass vases, metal candlesticks, porcelain plates, and clay mugs can be assembled on one shelf. But only on one - remember the principle of minimalism.
