SCOOTER (Sickle Cell Open – Online Topics and Educational Resources) was a nationally funded project to release learning resources and health promotion materials in support of support sickle cell disease and thalassaemia. The project was funded from 2010 to 2011 by the JISC (Joint Information Systems Committee) and the UK HEA (Higher Education Academy), and is one of several open education projects at De Montfort University, Leicester, UK. These learning resources are now being made available via this Android Application.
