As of version 1.8, this app reads barcodes using the phone's camera to register products. To work, it is necessary to run the SIC software on the computer and enter the "Settings - General" screen, and at the bottom of the screen, look for "Generate automatic codes", uncheck the "Products" box. This new feature only works if the version of the SICWEB Package is 4.0.61 (released on 02/21/2020) or higher, and does not work on very old phones (with Android version below 4.4).
